About this Program
The Orange Bond Verification Training Program is the only pathway to become an Approved Orange Bond Verifier. The course equips ecosystem stakeholders with an in-depth understanding of Orange Bonds, including their evolution, key players, structure, and the multitude of benefits they bring. Our program offers four courses spread across seven training sessions. It caters to individuals with a genuine passion for supporting data-driven orange transactions, while helping organizations unlock future revenue streams. The Orange Bond verification license is also well-suited to representatives of Orange Bond issuers and advocates for gender equality.

Program Overview
The Orange Bond Initiative™ (OBI) is the world’s first asset class built by both the Global South and North and the 99% as a solution to financing gender equality. The Initiative’s mission is to empower ~100 million women and girls worldwide through unlocking US$10 billion by 2030.
Play your part in the OBI as an *Approved Verifier and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with the Orange Bond Principles.
By aligning issuances to the Orange Bond Principles, Approved Verifiers can become a potent catalyst for both gender equality and a sustainable future where women are agents of climate action, peacebuilding, and prosperity. Approved Verifiers will also have the chance to tap into the Orange Bond market and add Orange Bond verification work to their portfolio, thus broadening avenues for financial growth.
To obtain a license as an Approved Verifier, candidates must successfully complete all courses under this program.

Learning Pathway
The Orange Bond Verification Training Program is held weekly across 7 sessions and is conducted live. A class recording will be available for each session to accommodate for different time zones. The times quoted below are in Singapore time.
Course 1:
Financing for Gender Equality
3 August 2023 , 16.00- 18.00 SGT
Understand the potential for gender-lens investing to build prosperity, peace, and planetary resilience for all. This course will cover three key learning components:
- Gender Lens Investing (GLI): Definition and market potential for investing in gender equality
- Gaps Analysis: Current GLI challenges to be addressed
- Bridging the Financing Gap: Solutions to scale the GLI space and advance the overall sustainable development agenda
Course 2:
Introduction to the Orange Bond Initiative™
10 and 17 August 2023, 16.00-18.00 SGT
Overview of the Orange Bond Initiative™ as a cross-cutting asset class for investing in gender equality. This course will explore the following:
- Introduction to Orange Bonds as an asset class
- OBI commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) and making Orange Bonds relevant for the Global South and the 99%
- Use cases and examples on Orange Bonds cross-cutting with other asset classes (e.g. Sustainability Labelled or GSSS Bonds, Climate Bonds, and Racial Equity Bonds)
Course 3:
Understanding and applying Orange Bond Principles™
24 and 31 August 2023, 16.00-18.00 SGT
Through a live facilitated training, learn about the three overarching principles that transactions must meet to qualify as an Orange Bond:
- Gender-Positive Capital Allocation
- Gender-Lens Capacity and Diversity in Leadership
- Transparency in the Investment Process and Reporting
Course 4:
Impact Confirmation for Orange Bonds
- Understanding the importance of impact confirmation and verification
- Introduction to IIX Values™
- Applying IIX Values™ for impact confirmation for Orange Bonds
Program Fees
The program fee covers the costs of both training and a license. The Approved Verifier license is valid for 1 year upon completion of the program and is attached to the Verifier’s organization. To keep their license, Approved Verifiers must pay a license renewal fee of USD 229 as well as complete 2 OBI-approved professional development courses annually.
Program fees will vary depending on the size of the participant’s organization and subsidies will apply for organizations coming from outside of Advanced Economies.

No. Your access includes the chance to retake your final quiz as many times as you need within that period. You do not have to repurchase the course or start the materials all over again!
