A paradigm shift is taking place and finance and development – traditionally regarded as separate disciplines –are converging into is known as impact investing. With a global market size of US$715 billion in 2020, impact investing is a rapidly emerging investment approach that has the potential to unlock large-scale private sector capital and redirect it towards sustainable development initiatives, including climate change, gender equality, and healthcare. As more players join the arena, it is all the more critical to understand the key players and their unique functions in the impact investing space. This course gives you an in-depth understanding of the impact investing ecosystem and explores how diverse ecosystem players can play a more catalytic role in the movement. By the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of the various stakeholders in the impact investing space and discover key strategies to unlock more finance for the SDGs.

Born in Bangladesh, Durreen has built an international track record as a social entrepreneur, banker, media executive and academic at institutions, including Morgan Stanley (New York), Grameen Bank (Bangladesh), Hearst Magazines International (New York) and the National University of Singapore.
She is the recipient of 2017 Oslo Business for Peace Award, often referred to as the ‘Nobel Prize for Business’, amongst numerous other awards.
